Forest School
Children at St Mary’s School, Brymbo have been enjoying the great outdoors now that restrictions have been lifted
Our forest school sessions at St Mary’s School have been working with a number of different classes and age groups.
The sessions deliver a programme of activities to enhance and support the school’s curriculum and give children opportunities to engage with the natural environment whilst encouraging knowledge and interest in wildlife and nature.
This includes making bug hotels, planting sunflowers and wildflowers, identifying trees and insects. As well as team building work, use of tools and natural materials.
We have also explored the local community to engage with our activities and learn about local wildlife and nature in Brymbo.
