Brymbo Heritage Orchard Group
We're a team of the trust's volunteers who have come together because of our shared love of apples and pears! We started out as part of a Wales-wide project led by the Welsh Perry and Cider Society, and brought in some funding to purchase and plant heritage species of apple and pear trees. We now look after a number of local orchards, produce juice, vinegar and cider, and work with local residents, community groups and schools to help inspire others to grow and harvest these wonderful Welsh fruits.

Our project is largely self-funding from the sale of our produce, and we've also been successful in attracting donations from local businesses AM PM Convenience Stores, Tesco, Co-op, Airbus UK. We're also linked with the Welsh Heritage Orchards Project and the Wales-wide Social Farms and Gardens Project.

Above all, the most important assistance we get is from the great many local people who come to help out, and of course the children and staff of our local schools - who have been brilliant!
